Wolves line up Aliadiere?

With Kevin Doyle injured, this international break has been a bit of a disaster for Wolves.

Slap bang in the middle of a relegation dogfight, we lose our main striker, will it affect our chance of surviving in the Premier League? Only time will tell, but our Mick needs to work out what to do in his absence.

Steven Fletcher so far has 75% of the vote to take Doyle's place on our front page poll, with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake receiving 25%, currently no-one has backed Stephen Ward or anyone else for that matter with it being a straight fight between the two for the role.

But Mick McCarthy might be about to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

According to reports from talkSPORT radio, Wolves could be about to offer Jeremie Aliadiere a unexpected chance to return to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old has been training with Arsenal throughout March is a free agent after leaving Middlesbrough at the end of last season.

Vital Wolves Comment: Could he be the answer? Or at least give us another option going into the end of season run in?

Not exactly prolific at Middlesbrough but no-one is going to be an ideal signing at this time of the year as anyone superb wouldn't be a free agent all year. Unless of course he's asking for too much in wages?

Aliadiere ? What for ? As a bench-warmer ? Give a proper chance to Fletch and SEB ! I hope its just another silly rumour
PanFiluta
Exactly: what's the point?

Never mind about the possibility of Aliadiere playing Doyle's role, it could be Ward! This is what MM said earlier today: “Doyler has proved the best at that lone striker role but both Fletch and Sylvan have played it and to be fair Wardy is a handful when he does, so I’ve still got three". AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

This smells a little too similar to the Marcus Bent deal. A waste of wages, and a player that cannot offer any more to the squad than Sam Vokes could. I would hope this is a ploy by the players agent to stir interest amongst championship clubs.

i wouldn' b supprissed if keogh was recalled

I would'nt be suprised if Steve Bull is re-called !!! anythings better than the love child as a striker!.

Actually, Hyett5 could be right :) - Agents are the rats of football.

This merits as much validity as Doyle being an 8 mil target for QPR- I forgot to name the team at the end of my story. This clown can go and play connect 4 by himself. No thanks. Not worth saying more about this latest 'story.'
