'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McCarthy Names Wolves Team

Mick McCarthy has ended the debate as to who will replace the injured Kevin Doyle at Newcastle on Saturday by announcing that Sylvan Ebanks-Blake will lead the line.

Whilst most of us were waiting until tomorrow to find out who had got the shirt, Mick took things ten steps further by announcing twenty four hours ahead of the game that he will be fielding an unchanged line up.

On Blake's inclusion, McCarthy told the Express & Star "Sylvan will come in and he has to play. If I bemoan the loss of one it detracts from the ability of the other, so I prefer to look at the merits of the other... We`ve got Sylvan and he`s playing tomorrow - and the rest of the team is the same as well.'

Mick insists Wolves are going to win the game and with his manner of delivery, is more interested in Newcastle dealing with Wolves rather than worrying about the opposition.

Mick added, '...if anyone is watching and wants to set up their free-kicks then fine -let them deal with us. After our last game, why would I be any different to two weeks ago? We`re going to attack and to try to win the game."

Music to my ears.
