'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The time is now for Wolves

With six games remaining to save our Premier League status, the for Wolves to stand up and be counted is now.

Regular visitors to Vital Wolves will know that I've backed Mick McCarthy throughout both this and last seasons campaigns.

While many called for his head last season and once again this season, I've often felt like I was shouting my point directly into a hurricane, with no-one taking a blind bit of notice to my views, not that it really matters in the great scheme of things as it still got the debate going and that's what this site is all about.

However, right now there is no debate, with six games to go, Wolves are rock bottom of the Premier League pile.

We do have one game in hand, which might well prove to be our get out of jail free card, but only if we use it correctly.

Hypothetically, right now that game is the difference between us playing Championship or Premiership football next season. If that game was played today, a win would lift us to 35 points and one place out of the relegation zone.

we need the squad to react to two consecutive defeats, before losing becomes a habit and first up, is Fulham.

'The players have always responded when it's been a kind of 'must-win' game,' Mick McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

He continued: 'There's no better time for a special effort to come than the Fulham game is there?

'Let me tell you, the teams that work the hardest generally succeed.
