'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Championship team in a Premiership fight!

Four games left and time running out.

Two seasons later and we are still with a championship core to the team.

Nine of the team last night were playing at the lower level and while a few have made the grade in the premier a lot haven't.

We have now lost more games than last year and our form appears to have deserted us ,now is not the time to lay into individuals, we have to back the guys and just hope we can manage to grind out a couple of wins.

Our form against the teams around us this season has been abysmal and at the end of the season if things go wrong that will be what has been our biggest downfall.

The big worry is, the games left are all teams around us! My main concern at this stage is tactically we seem at a loss, we got murdered last night down the flanks and nothing was done about it until it was too late.

The stats speak for themselves and as we all know the table doesn't lie, over the two years our win ratio is 25%, not good enough at this level, our game in hand has gone and its now out of our hands if everyone gets the same results over the last four games we are gone.

So its all hands to the decks and off to St Andrews for what may be our last stand, we need a result and a win to get us moving upwards and to get the confidence back.

Well, last night's abject defeat and its likely consequences have certainly brought the bloggers out in force. And they are all right: while there is a mathematical chance of the team staying up, the players should fight as though their lives depended on it. What has happened to our much vaunted spirit now that we really need it?
Southbank60
2 Chances. None, and a little bit less than ***** all. Doyle and Jarvis have been our only "premiership players" and this is what the Clod has tried to keep us up with despite having millions sitting on the bench. I will miss the premiership, I wont miss watching clueless flapping about like a flamingo protecting her eggs...
Ad Mant
I see that today MM has begun to admit that he might be at fault, though he is cutting it rather fine if he intends doing something about it. I also note that Berra, Nelsonally holding a view-finder to his blind eye, continues to utter such platitudes as 'there's still only one point in it', 'we're not robots', 'we've got a great bunch of lads and we'll rally together and get on with it' and we've bounced back many times and defied the odds and I don't see why we can't do so again'. I do!
Southbank60
A clueless flamingo flapping his arms about. At least the humour will never die. Pending results elsewhere a point could still see us reach 17th on Sunday and how absurd does that seem. The thought of gaining a point slightly more absurd I would say- I can't see where the next one is coming from.

The dizzy heights of 17thWolf!,mind you I'd take that in a flash on May 22nd.A Flamingo protecting her eggs!mmmmmm,I'll have to think on that one,Merlin might be a lot of things but I must admit a Flamingo had not crossed my mind!,it does'nt exactly spring to mind if you know what I mean.LovesW will maybe enlighten us on this Flamingo subject?,it may be a change from talking football,I can see it now,a new website!,Vitalflamingo.co.uk Pretty Flamingo??who sang it?no googling it,answers below !!!!!UTW.
Crete Wolf
Wasn't it Manfred Mann with singer Paul Jones.
Southbank60
Come now, lads, it is already enough playing the soothsayer with Wolves, do I have to be a poet as well? But yes, on second thoughts, whyever not? Less success would seem almost impossible. I remember that song. Manfred Mann were my second group after the Stones. Another of their songs has: 'the people of the town came just to sit(or stand?) around and see the singer looking sweet' Hmm.. couple that with the idea of the flamingo, replace singer with gaffer, and you have what the Potter fans got out of Wolves for their money. Southbank, your comment has popped up; yes indeed, it was.
