Wolves fans, lets stick by them

With three games remaining Wolves remain in the bottom three.

Two home fixtures against West Brom and Blackburn, either side of an away trip to Sunderland will seal our fate in this seasons Premier League.

Confidence is low amongst the fans and probably the squad, the recent defeat to Stoke and draw with 10 man Birmingham has really whipped up the fans, with some making their opinions known to the team and the manager.

"I`ve told the players if we`re getting that stick, we`re getting it for a reason. They pay their money and they are entitled.' our Mick told the Express & Star BEFORE the Birmingham game.

No doubt the pressure will build even more now, what with another disappointing result and of course during the build up to this weekends clash with the Baggies.

McCarthy continued: "I have had unequivocal support from Wolves fans from the moment I arrived and can never have any complaints about the way I have been treated."

With three games to go in this seasons Premier League that unequivocal support is waning.

Across the pubs, clubs and websites, Wolves fans everywhere are arguing various different points to apportion blame for a season that could lead to our fall from the top flight.

We've stumbled along at many periods this season and have underperformed considering the quality we have amongst the squad.

BUT despite all that we remain just one point from safety and for me, due to that we should remain united, backing the team and Mick.

We are far from out of this race and the only way we can get out of it is by sticking together.

The other teams above us are not exactly beating everyone in front of them with ease either.

We can still save this season but we need to back the team and McCarthy to push us over the line.

This site is ready to become one of the top Wolves sites around and we want you to be a part of that!

Bottom of the league all season, joint record signing warming the becnh whilst ward gets to play every available position. failure to recruit in the transfer, and some insane subsitutions like bringing on striker when we have lead to protect for example.... It is very difficult, near impossible to gte behind someone who makes these decisions. I will always we a Wolves fan, but I will never support mccarthy.

If I were to think that reports and comments had any effect on players' morale, I would not have written very much this season. However, now that we are in such deep trouble at the sharp end of the season, we should, as Akela insists, give the team our whole-hearted support. I have my tickets for the two home games and will be shouting my head off from the top of the Billy Wright stand. We can inspire the team to perform at the level we know they can reach ... and now have to attain.

The chances of survival are still there, and they are not slim, I would say as much as 70-75%, but only with a dramatic shift in tactics and mentality to offensive play, and by offensive play I mean all-out offensive play. The season can be turned around even this late. Then all the fear and anxiety of a season can be forgotten. By myself, for one.

That's why I am advocating a 1-1-10 formation (see my comment in the 'Wasted Opportunity' thread)!

That's really how I feel: if I say anything, it will not be very supportive. So, I am making as positive a statement as a I can and one with which most WW fans would agree.

Not that my voice will be heard considering I will be in Brooklyn but rest assured I will be jumping around as usual, kicking and screaming urging the team to victory. I love my Wolves. One sport for me and one team. Knocking on 28 years following the club now many of which I attended with my Dad in the old John Ireland before progressing to Season Tickets in the South Bank. What hurts the most is going through all those years of frustration in the old first division and whatever we want to call it these days, coming to believe that the club had really been turned on its head only to sit here facing a great likelihood we will be right back where we were to begin with. It's demoralizing and it should never have come to this. I stand by my club and the team until the end of season. I will underline once more that regardless of our outcome there should be a change at the end of the season because this is not good enough and I can't see it improving next season. It is very difficult to have to think about a summer gearing up for a season in The Championship but there goes a smack around the face called reality. If we do pull off one of the greatest escapes in Premiership history, refer to Ad Mant who has it pretty spot on, my fear is the club will become wrapped up in some warped 'celebration.'

If, by some miracle, we do manage to avoid the drop - and we only have to play to our true potential to do so - it will certainly be a reason to celebrate ... but I fully endorse your underlying point.

Crete Wolf feel free to write a response if you wish, that's the whole point of a site like this one, to create debate. I certainly won't be offended if you do not agree with me. I'm very much used to it. :)
