'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Vital for Wolves says Mick

Unfortunately it's not a money can't buy plug for the Vital Wolves website.

Instead it's the timely return to form that Wolves have found in the final few games of the 2010/11 Premier League season that has got our Mick talking.

The 3-1 wins over West Brom and Sunderland were our first back-to-back wins of the season, with our last back-to-back wins coming in December 2009 against Bolton and Tottenham.

'I'd have certainly taken back-to-back wins a month ago - I'd have taken anything a month ago because we were hopeless and were getting slapped.

'We went to Newcastle and got slapped and were beaten by Everton and just didn't play well for a period of time although it did coincide with picking up a few injuries.' McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

The run of results our Mick is referring too, saw us pick up just 2 points from 5 games.

He continued: 'To recover and get back-to-back wins at this stage of the season is vital for us.'

Regardless of our more "favourable" fixture at home, i think if you saw the energy and intent in Wigan's last game, you would have to fancy them getting a win against Stoke. Blackpool are capable of just about anything, so a win for them is just as likely. The only one i dont see winning is Birmingham, Spurs will not give up that 5 th spot easily... That means, we still HAVE to beat Blackburn, there is no other way.

West Ham, Wigan and Birmingham to go down.

I share Ad Mant's concern ... but everyone knows that by now.
