'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bull confident of Wolves survival (AUDIO)

Former Wolves legend Steve Bull, speaking as an ambassador for the Tesco Cup, the UK's biggest grassroots football competition, is confident Wolves will avoid the drop having put themselves in pole position following two wins on the bounce.

The club beat West Brom in a fierce but entertaining Black Country Derby at Molineux, before an impressive display at Sunderland last weekend saw them climb out of the relegation zone with a 3-1 win.

With West Ham already confirmed to play in the Championship next season, two of Wolves, Blackburn, Birmingham, Wigan and Blackpool will join them, however a third successive win will mean Mick McCarthy's side will stay in the Premier League regardless of other results.

However, despite a record number of Midland teams in England's top flight, it's been a disappointing season with West Brom the highest ranked club in 11th, whilst Aston Villa have struggled since Martin O'Neill's departure. Birmingham face the very real possibility of relegation should they lose at Tottenham on Sunday, and that's a concern to Bully.
