Naylor Injury Concern

No Wolves pre season would be complete without at least one injury worry, and this seasons victim is the clubs longest serving player, Lee Naylor.

Lee suffered a patella problem part way through last season, but played through the pain barrier and a recurrence of a similar problem has seen him yet to kick a ball in anger as the team builds up to their opening game on fifth August at Plymouth.

Wolves are desperately short of left sided players. In fact, they are simply desperately short of players, and Stuart Gray has aired his concerns on the fitness of the young left back.

'He had a scan yesterday which showed a bit of a problem, so he's had an injection which we hope will settle it down with a view to returning to training early next week.

'He's not been able to kick a ball yet in our pre-season games, which is disappointing because Lee is an important member of the squad that we need fit.' said Gray.

With Wolves squad depleted as it is, the club needs every man fit and raring to go when the season kicks off.

Lee Naylor is an honest, hardworking pro and no one thats seen him in action can doubt that he ever gives anyhing less than maximum effort.

Vital Wolves wishes Lee Naylor all the best in his recovery.
