McCarthy is the man to take us forward

The fact that Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey had to even discuss the issue shows that Mick McCarthy doesn't have complete backing at Molineux.

Not that he will be ultimately bothered though, as the man he needs backing from has always given it him.

"The way we see it is why would we want to change a manager when we`ve got a very good manager who fits with us and understands our culture? Moxey told the Birmingham Mail.

He continued: "We know what we are about. We know we`ve got the right manager at the helm driving us forward and he`s managed to pull out a fantastic result for us to stay in the Premier League for a third successive season."

Here on Vital Wolves it's probably fair to say we've been split on Mick McCarthy, but that's probably been the case for the past two years on here with our members!

Personally as many will already know, I backed him in our first year in the Premier League and I continue to back him going into our third year in the Premier League and I look forward to watching on as he continues to win over the doubters.

The title is unequivocal. Had there been disagreement there would have been comments, Wolf Man. Akela, himself backing MM, raises the doubts for the sake of providing the article, but many will not have bothered to go through it, otherwise there would have been comments.

31% believe he isn't the man to take us forward according to the poll, obviously the majority back him still though.
