Wolves shift focus?
Wolves have denied making a £6million bid for Birmingham defender Roger Johnson.
Reports emerged yesterday that an offer had been made and subsequently rejected.
Various newspapers have claimed that Wolves had approached Birmingham and the Shropshire Star have suggested that Brum have slapped a £14million asking price on the 28-year-old.
That ridiculous amount if true is likely put off Mick McCarthy (or at least I hope it would) and reports suggest our Mick has shifted his focus onto Reading defender Matt Mills.
With Reading failing to win promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs, McCarthy looks set to raid Reading once again.
A more realistic £4million has been suggested for the 24-year-old, however he doesn't really have the Premier League experience that other apparent targets Johnson or Matt Upson has.
Vital Wolves Comment: Would signing Mills be enough? Or should McCarthy shell out the big bucks for an experienced defender?
