Wolves CEO Jez Moxey has praised Paul Ince following his unsuccessful application for the Wolves managers job.
Speaking through the clubs website he said :
'We were really impressed with Paul. He came across very positively and given different circumstances we could easily have offered him the job.
'He has got qualities that will make him a great manager in the future.
'He has been a great servant to the club and he is hugely popular with Wolves supporters, and so the idea of appointing him as manager is one that we were keen to explore, and as I say, he could easily have got the job were circumstances different."
The question on everyones lips now is what next for The Guv`nor?
Keen to move into management, will the offer of a playing contract alone be enough to keep him at Molineux?
Or will he join the exodus of players already having left Molineux in search of pastures new?
