Bertrand To Wolves?

Numerous reports are suggesting England Under 21 star Ryan Bertrand has been offered to Wolves.

The player has 15 caps to his name and almost 150 league appearances despite his tender age. His experience has come from seven loan spells with five different clubs yet has found his chances of breaking into the first team at Chelsea a practical non starter with Ashley Cole in front of him.

Chelsea are offering the player on loan in order to further his development and monitor his progress at Premiership level.

Having already been 'converted' from a winger to a full back Chelsea will not stand in Mick's way if he wants to utilize him on the right wing as a liberal enforcer.

Really hope we get this guy. He is true quality and pacy
Right wing! He's a left sided player!
merlin didn't think there was a proof reader did you?
He is a quality player and I prefer him to our other young option at LB,Patrick van Aanholt.I would be uncomfortable with the club selling him but if it's a loan option you are after you won't find a better young LB to bring in,just ask the Forest fans.
Thanks for the reco. Blueblaze. It's good to know, when you're in for a player, that his present club rate him.
Why do I bother.
New York City Wolf
Ok, NYCW.I know very little about him. He's a left back, why use him on the right wing?
I'm going to shoot myself.
New York City Wolf
Please don't NYCW. I'll miss your contributions. But, regarding Bertrand, he seems to be a fine prospect.
Three of those comments made me want to, but I promise I shall not raise Revolver- however good an album it was. E-mail pending. Post Card.................... Joey Barton anyone?
New York City Wolf
That's an answer? Jesus.
Now, He would be a good buy. I've heard he can perform wonders with the ball.
Use a silencer Wolfie.

He's a good player guys. Solid, solid LB who likes to bomb down that left flank. He was rock solid (for Reading?) against Liverpool last year in the cup, managed to keep Kyut quiet for 90 minutes. One cameo appearance for our first team last season and he was defensively okay, but whipped in a sweet cross from an impossible position (near the corner flag) for Malouda to head in. Who is the current LB for you guys? How good is he?
Elokobi or ward who are both slow and *****. Elokobi doesnt know how to play football but we all love him for his 'cult hero' position. As for ward well , lets just say hes more of a striker. JT- LB has been our achilles heel for many a season now
JT- as superwwfc points out one of our options, Stephen Ward, was purchased as a striker but was converted into a left back. He has played everywhere for us hence the McCarthy love child jokes- midfield, back up front, you name it he gets to play it. Square pegs round holes etc. Hence my article closer....... "Having already been 'converted' from a winger to a full back Chelsea will not stand in Mick's way if he wants to utilize him on the right wing as a liberal enforcer." If someone wants to kindly explain humour to those that can't understand it be my guest.

Anyway thanks again to Blaze and JT for stopping by to share the info on this player. Sounds great so far. Could be the answer to our problems. As much as we love George I am afraid he is not good enough for left back. If anything he has looked better on the few occasions we have seen him used in the middle. What are the chances we will have three new defenders by this time next week?
New York City Wolf
Well, it would only be a temporary answer to our problem but who's looking beyond the end of next season? The central defender negotiations seem to be stalled, waiting for increased offers, and there's probably a lot more brinkmanship to endure before the denouement ... and that worries me. I wonder how high MM and the board are willing to go for Johnson and Mills ... or whoever they are keeping in reserve.
NYCW..........I don't need the concept of humour explaining to me thanks. I'm far too expert at winding people up. The thought of a victim of mine sitting in judgement of me is humouress in itself. Both of us here were agreed that if you were to shoot yourself in your arse AND head, you would only need the one bullet.
Did you get my joke too, A4D? I don't mind if you wind me up: at my age I need it!
He'd still need a silencer!

If Wolves can put a deall in place that means we get the option to buy Bertrand at a set price the following season then yes id love him to come to Wolves , but Konchesky is a 100% tryer and bombs up n down too and a better left back than what we have , im not a big fan of his , id prefer Warnock from Villa , that many defenders names been floated around in the papers and websites it shows its obvious the whole country knows we need defenders and not just Wolves fans haha , I think Johnson will be one but not a clue on the others and i dont want to hear Gardeners name mentioned if hes that good Villa would have kept him !!! i want O'Hara done and dusted first !!!!
A loan deal renewed twice in three years followed by a switch to Bremen (Hamburg have had their Chelsea defender)'s in the stars, Merlin, and I know your crystal ball shows it. Verdict: good business, no signing-on transfer fee, we get to know what he is really worth in that time, then we can decide about the asking price of a permanent move after that.
