O'Hara completes Wolves move

This will come as no huge surprise, but Jamie O'Hara has completed his permanent move from Spurs to Wolves.

For some unknown reason, the transfer had dragged on for a while since the end of the season and was beginning to make a few a little bit edgy.

We all knew he would be making the move from Spurs to Molineux, we all knew O'Hara wanted the move, we all knew the transfer would be in the region of 5million (officially of course the transfer will be undisclosed as usual), so what the hold up was had been pretty uncertain.

But it turns out that the only reason for the delay was various parties going on holiday which delayed the formalities!

We had in fact exercised the right to make the deal permanent as soon as the season ended, so the deal was never in doubt.

So with the speculation over, the important thing is that it is now official with the 24-year-old agreeing a five-year-contract at Molineux.

Get in there :-) , he is already a fans fave and just signing someone of O hara's quality will surely attract the bigger names we are going for to seriously consider a move to us , i hope we can get get 2 of Bassong Bougherra and Johnson and i would be over the moon :-)

Congratz Wolves for a great buy. O'Hara has many fans in Spurs. A player that plays with his heart. We wish him a long and prosperous career!

Always sad when your youth players move on. Good luck Jaimie, he was a decent player for us but probably at that stage where he needs to be playing. 5m for proven Premier League quality is great business on your behalf. Good luck next season

ODDJOB79 - Spurs are trying to stream line the squad and Bassong is probably available, he's made a couple of noises about wanting first team football. Technically he's a very good defender, strong, quick and quite neat on the ball (was a rock in our '4th' season). The main problem is he's not a natural leader so if he's not playing with an experienced hand to talk to him can make the odd error. Great player though. The main obstacle would be the fee, we paid Newcastle around 8m and Daniel Levy normally tries to hold out for what we paid, which does seem quite a lot to me...

Hmm yeah i suppose the fee could be a problem , maybe he sees making 5 million on O hara a bonus though as he came through your youth system , i dont think the fee even if its 8 million would be a problem , i just think ( and i hate saying this ) bigger clubs than us might come in for him and im guessing hes on a bit of money too !! , whats the score on players your after , Parker Drogba ? and is has Woody gone ?

At. Long. Last. And a 5 year deal too... great. I wouldnt worry about having a leader on the pitch as long as Craddock is playing.... we need replacements for Berra and Elokobi stat. Also, no idea why we are being linked with strikers... unless someone is leaving. C'mon Jez, GET THAT WALLET OUT !!!!

Well. First things first tremendous singing- again it says a lot that Spurs fans continue to visit with best wishes for the player number one, but also to wish us the best. The 3-3 against Spurs last season was one of the best games I have seen in terms of football being played the way we love to see it, and the Spurs games I always look for when the fixtures arrive. For me this signing will shift the attitude, ours included that we are somehow destined to fight off relegation. If there were any other targets sitting on the fence waiting to see what type of player we are now able to attract they will follow. I see Bassong is number one defensive target amongst the fans and I would agree from the names we have been linked with. Mick clearly has an interest in Johnson but I have a feeling that the likes of a Sunderland will come in with a higher bid; whilst Johnson may have been his first target I think Bassong is more likely. Sounds like the negotiations between the clubs went smoothly so hopefully we can figure out a fair price for Bassong. The other good news of course is that we are looking at not one, but two left back options that we are even aware of so fans and club alike are on exactly the same page in realizing each and every area we need to strengthen. A striker is bottom of the priority list as things stand for us, but it would appear we are on the look out which we can assume means Vokes will leave this summer. I would not be surprised if we have another two signed by the weekend. Good times.

Great news about JOH. Do you think it was my offer to give Danielle a lift up to WW's home matches that clinched the deal. Should I extend the invitation to Bassong's missus?

Get texting Southbank and sort the lift out ! , just read some words of Mr.Morgan and he says as far as new signings go watch this space , 1 or 2 new aditions could happen , hmmm we need 4 in my eyes , reserve goalie , 2 centre halves and a left back so maybe we wont see every position filled !

I think jamie will turn out to be a very very good signing. a player who is a genuine 100%er and perhaps a future captain of Wolves?

Your hand in the deal could yet see your face included on a revolving image as part of the clubs new vision for the stadium and future branding- the club target the players, Banksy looks after the wives. Good to hear the Morgan interview where he states we must finish 'north of 40 points.' Regarding signings he did have a smirk on his face and maintained the motto refusing to discuss in any detail. Apparently De Vries was on holiday so he must have practically walked off the plane and got in a car to sign up- tells us at least that whilst players are not in the country business is being taken care of. His agent had said he would make his mind up on several offers when he got back and he has signed for us quickly. Says a lot about his character also because the number one shirt has been his for 4 years and was his to keep. He has decided it is the right time in his career to fight for the number one shirt at a, 'proper club' and wants to establish himself in the Premiership. Sounds confident. I think Wayne had a much improved season and whilst he performed well I still get nervous on crosses and I think he still has some way to go to prove the finished article. He is still young of course and will most likely only get better- will be interested to see how this one unfolds. We need great competition in every area but with there being talk of us signing a 4th goalkeeper it would suggest Mick sees this as an area we had to, have to continue improving. It was prioritized. Expect a CB by Friday and I think many of us are pinning our hopes on Bassong.

Well i wanted Bougherra NYCW but not heard anything other than Liverpool are now after him and nothing materialised from the Leicester link , Bassong would be a classy signing but i do worry about his wages , im confident Wolves do not pay more than 35k a week and im pretty sure he earns more than that , I think Johnson or Mills are the top 2 on MM's list , I just want us to sign 2 and im very intreuged to see what he chooses to do via the left back slot !
