Doyle set for Wolves talks

Doyle set for Wolves talks

He might have two years remaining on his current Wolves contract, but Morgan hopes to open negotiations with striker Kevin Doyle over an extended contract soon.

The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international has been linked with numerous clubs over the past couple of seasons with Newcastle and Sunderland the latest to join a long list.

Doyle though has often stated that he is happy at Wolves and it would seem that he could soon be rewarded with an improved contract.

'I am sure we will have those conversations with Kevin and his agent at the right time.' Wolves chairman Steve Morgan told Sky Sports.

He added: 'Kevin has been a fantastic signing for this club and is a really, really key player for us.

'We'd like to secure his services going forward.'

Vital Wolves Comment: While our focus is obviously on new faces coming into Molineux, sometimes the harder task is to keep hold of our prized assets, so it's good to hear a new contract could be coming Doyler's way.
