Craddock contract extension

Craddock contract extension

Jody Craddock officially signed his new one-year deal with Wolves on Monday.

In another one of those deals where we all knew it would happen, but seemed to take forever to finalise the soon-to-be 36-year-old signed a contract extension to stay at Molineux for another season.

"It was all done at the end of the season and was very straightforward," Craddock told the Express & Star.

He added: "It was just a matter of time while the contract was drawn up.

"This time last year I was maybe thinking it would be my last season which was fine.

"So to get another year is a big achievement."

Vital Wolves Comment: I'm pleased Craddock is staying, he might be knocking on, he might not be first choice once we've hopefully bolstered the back line, but he adds experience and anyone can learn from that type of leadership.

So,we've now less defenders than we started the week with. Come on Moxey, throw us a crumb!I started the close season wishing for a Mike Bailey type..........now i'd settle for Mike Bailey.

That's hilarious. Hats of! The only hope one can take from seeing the club allow Mancienne and Mouyokolo go is that we are certainly going to sign TWO. They have to. Johnson and Bassong? Or Dunne and Upson? I obviously don't have to think about buying a season ticket, but if I was still living back home my order would be on hold. The club is setting the standard but with the reduced capacity they are in a win-win situation. The only bright news is that from two weeks home over the festives I at least have the chance to see us against Chelsea. Same again bartender.

Oops. As for Jody I am pleased for him. I assume he is on a pay per play basis. I just hope he gets another contract next summer as a coach. Maybe he can tell Mick how to line up a back four.
