Arsenal to make £12million move for Doyle

Arsenal to make £12million move for Doyle

It's all over the internet so it must be true! Arsenal are set to test Wolves's resolve with a £12million bid for striker Kevin Doyle.

The Daily Mirror reported the story that Arsene Wenger was a big fan of the 27-year-old, something that has done the rounds over the internet before with Arsenal previously linked with a move for Doyle last season.

Vital Wolves Comment: Before we all panic though, I really cannot see much in this rumour.

Doyle is happy at Molineux and chairman Steve Morgan only recently said we would be opening new contract talks with him soon.

In real terms thats about right 12 million but if Carrolls worth 35 then Doyles worth 25 , thats the way i look at it with the stupid market inflations so if i were Morgan I'd say double up or do one :-) , 12 million , could we replace Doyles all round game with someone proven in the premiership for the same money and wages ? I doubt it very much !

Yeah ODDJOB, I agree, but you forget the greed factor - moxey is already salivating at the prospect. If we sell proven Premiership talent to fund unproven championship recruits Im going to go off my ******** head.

Carrol went for 35 because the buyers had just bagged 50. Let us see what the Gunners bag for Fabregas and Nasri! I cannot say that I would be happy to see Doyle go, but I would be overjoyed to see the end of a formation, with all its fear and negativity, that depended on him. And it DID depend on him. Try as MM did to get some one to play his game after he got injured playing for Ireland, he had to go 4-4-2, which was a blessing in disguise and it was that that saved the season for the Club.

No one was moaning about 4-5-1 when we beat Albion and Sunderland back to back ! , And Moxey has given no indication that he is contemplating accepting the offer , if it was such a serious rumour it would be on sky sports and there is nothing on the website !

He's not going anywhere, he loves Wolves, we're a proppa team!! Arsenal I'm afraid are nothing but a bunch of overpaid foreigners with a moaning froggie gaffer who is consigned to being the poor relations of City, Man U & Chelski. At least with us he gets to wear a proppa football shirt, bestowed with tradition, history and the glory of yesteryear. PLUS, with us he gets a years free subscription to the Express and Star and some £2.50 off vouchers at Subway. He's never had it so good!! UTW!!!

He's got a lovely little flat on the Stourbridge ring road- two minute walk from the bus stop. Who wants to give that up. Not our Kev. I am not worried about these reports.
