O`Hara backs Mills move

O`Hara backs Mills move

Jamie O`Hara believes that Matt Mills would fit in nicely at Wolves.

The transfer of the 24-year-old Reading defender is far from complete.

Wolves and Reading have yet to agree a fee and while personal terms probably wouldn't be an issue with Mills keen to make a move to the Premier League I can't help thinking these comments are a little bit premature.

"I played with him a few times for the England age group teams and I think he`s a fantastic player," he told the Express & Star.

He added: "He`s a good lad and he`ll fit right into our squad. It`s important to fit in straight away with the boys, and he`ll have no problems. He had a great season in the Championship with Reading and if we can get him then that would be great."

Vital Wolves Comment: Cannot say I like us talking about other teams players in this way.

We wouldn't like it if Arsenal players started talking about Doyle like the move had been completed and I would prefer us to show a bit more respect.

Of course it could be an indication that the deal is all but agreed, but still lets talk up the players once the contracts have been signed and the ink has dried.

I still cant understand how an unproven premiership defender who has done nothing in the game can demand 25k a week

And who's this commenting on the ability of players, the newly apponted chief scout at Wolves ? and on other clubs' players at that. Well said, Akela. He has got used to going for it himself in the six months he's been at the Club, and he has got away with it. So far had already been far enough. Now that he is permanent, this far.

So, with Konchesky, Johnson Gardner etc all proving too rich for our blood, does this mean Wallace and Mills are going to end up our solution at the back ? Anybody ?

NYCW, on two occasions I saw him shooting for goal - I would not say from impossible positions, but from highly unlikely ones - with colleagues standing unmarked who were very likely to score had he passed the ball. At the time I joked that he was laying the groundwork for contract negotiations when the time for that came -what with his amicable bet with Jarvis about who of the two will score the more goals by season's end. But at the risk of the team losing points? So far, that was on the field of play, his field. But as to whether players would fit into the squad is for MM to judge. This far is too far. Get it now? I do not mean you should agree, but that is what I get.

Leicester are due to sign him by the looks of it , 5 million , no wonder we pulled out as hes so not worth that much and its a waste to spend 5 million on a player with no expereince what so ever , me personally , im glad we never paid over the odds for him and it goes to show that we had a 2 million difference of opinion on the player and why all of us are saying we need to spend maybe the odd million over the odds to bring in quality centre halves , surely everyone agrees the 3 M'S were right not to splash out an extra 2 million and 25k a week in wages on a player who has achieved nothing in the game and would be a huge gamble !

'Sunderland are understood to have launched a triple £12million raid on United this summer in their pursuit of O'Shea, Wes Brown and Darron Gibson'.Now that to me looks like a good bit of business.

Brown is useless and to old now , both he and O'Shea will prove they were very average players just fortunate to play alongside great players week in week out , Gibson is awful in my eyes , again just fortunate to play alongside very good/great players , if you take Gibsons shot which he never does when he should and does when he shouldn't , what has he got ?? , Bruce is panic buying , experience they have , yes i suppose they do 2 of them in abundence but have any of the 3 above won a game or saved a game for United hahaha , Fergie is probably glad to get rid of there deadwood !

The Mills saga makes no sense to me. The Star reported they'd already had a 4 million pound offer accepted so why would they go ahead and offer another half a million with another million in add ons? I'm five hours behind so he may well have signed for Leicester by the time I finish writing this. If he has then he has gone for money. If he is there for his medical Wolves have the choice to pick up the phone and match the initial 4 million they wanted. Plenty of deals moving now so we shall see.
