'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Rumour That Wouldn't Die

Despite countless denials from all parties involved, Wolves are still being linked with a Milan Mandric takeover.

Mandric has now handed over control of Portsmouth to Franco-Russian businessman Alexandre Gaydamak in a deal worth £17 million , and is quoted in todays Mirror as saying :

'I know Jack Hayward well. I love football and I would be a liar if I said Portsmouth would be my last club.'

Whether or not this is another piece of tabloid mischief making, or an actual indication of Mandric`s true intent to takeover Wolves is yet to be seen.

But following on from Milan`s success at establishing Pompey in the top flight, and his apparent willingness to make funds available for team strengthening when it`s needed, few would argue that the move would be on the very best interests of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He is a quality man and he done great things for the Southcoast number 1's. If he does come to you then I wsh you both all the best. But I believe he is staying at Pompey as a member of the board. Lets hope for your sake that i'm wrong cos he could do great things with your club. Good luck next season. Please Please Please make sure scum.... I mean southampton get relegated.

You never know what is going to happen in football, after all he has done for us I hope he'll remain on the board for some time yet, but with him sure to want another challenge (he admits this openly) in the not to distant future you guys could be just what he is looking for so I can only echo POMPEYMEV's comments really. You couldn't wish for a better man to control your club if he arrived.
