Wolves beat Celtic

Wolves beat Celtic 2-0 at Parkhead in the latest of our pre-season fixtures.

Just over 700 supporters made the trip north of the border, an impressive following considering how late the date of this fixture was confirmed!

Jamie O'Hara scored from a free-kick to open the scoring after 27 minutes and we doubled our lead when Filip Twardzik diverted a Stephen Ward cross into his own net during the second half.

Wolves Squad According To WOW: Hennessey, Stearman, Elokobi, O'Hara (Milijaś 85), Johnson, Berra (Zubar 81), Kightly (Foley 77), Henry (capt), Doyle (Keogh 81), Fletcher (Ward 62), Hunt (Hammill 62).

But with McCarthy's admission that pre-season means nothing, focus quickly moved onto our pre-season casulaties and their availability for Saturday's friendly at Ipswich.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake missed the trip to Celtic with a back problem, while Matt Jarvis has suffered a groin problem.

'Sylvan's got a bad back and it was decided to leave him back home to get treatment, The physios are confident he is fit now and likely to join us tomorrow morning.our Mick told Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'Jarvo just hurt his groin in training yesterday and won't be fit for a week or so.'
