Cort Mystery

Wolves striker Carl Cort is at the centre of a transfer mystery.

A report in today's Daily Mirror suggests that yesterday,at the eleventh hour, a 1.5 million move to Crystal Palace was put on hold by The Eagles chairman Simon Jordan.

It goes on to say that the transfer had gone way beyond negotiation, and had got as far as the medical stage before Jordan's abrupt change of heart.

No explanation was given for the deal breaking down.

With numbers already thin on the ground, no more so than in the striker department, news of the proposed sale will shock many fans who had assumed that this season the favoured Wolves strike pairing would be Cort and Tomasz Frankowski.
