Looking at the way things have unfolded over the close season and the way Wolves have been going about their business, I find it very difficult to believe that all of our dealings are complete.
The way that the Roger Johnston deal suddenly 'appeared' shows that the 'offer' had been made a while before and that Blues eventually accepted it, this I think is again the case, with maybe several offers out and waiting for a response.
Concerning another centre back, we are fortunate that their are several high profile players still available at the moment who occupy that position, Samba, Jagielka, Cahill, Bassong amongst others spring to mind.
I think that we are still very much in the hunt for Dann and that a glut of players in this position is helping our cause in getting 'value for money' so to speak, if its not him then maybe another from that list will come in at the right price.
Merlins warnings to players about using 'Twitter' last week only strengthen this argument I think, he is publicly warning his players not to let the 'cat out of the bag' so to speak until the player or players concerned have signed on the dotted line.
The first anyone will know anything about any more signings will be when a press conference is called, I am with what appears to be the general view that we need three more players, a Left Back, Centre Back and a midfielder, one of those I think will be on a 'free', only time will tell, but surely he cant go with what he's got! can he?
If we do go with what we have, it means only one new outfield player from the squad that only just remained in the top flight last year.
I think it will be possible to stay up with what we have as the three teams coming up look so weak and have not spent, but is that enough? Would it not be nice to show some improvement and finish mid-table?
The other possibility is that bids are in place for a player or players in the event that we sell one of our 'star' players, time will tell again.
