'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McCarthy's Italian Job

Mick McCarthy continued working his magic at Molineux, securing Verona's Craig Davies on a year long loan from under the noses of Northampton's John Gorman.

It's disappointing but I was told Wolves have got him - we got that from his agent,' Gorman said prior to Davies being unveiled at Molineux yesterday.

The 20 year old who graduated as a Manchester City junior found his wasy to Italy via Oxford City, but has had an unhappy spell abroad since his move.

Finding it difficult to adapt to a life in a new culture, Davies put English teams on the alert to his availability during the Italian closed season, but as soon as Wolves made their interest known, there was only one destination on his mind.
