McFadden set to blow off Wolves for Celtic

If you thought everything had gone quiet regarding James McFadden its because we appear to have missed out on signing him.

Yup, that's right, after giving the lad a two week trial and helping him return to fitness, the 28-year-old who hasn't played any football for 13 months since he suffered cruciate ligament damage is going to turn down the offer to come to Molineux to take early retirement in Scotland.

Sky Sports believe that Celtic have agreed terms with the striker, while the Daily Mail believe he has already hooked up with them for training.

We however have not given up hope and reports suggest that the money on offer from us is probably greater than what's on the table from Celtic.

'We are due to know very quickly,` said Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey to the Mail.

He added: 'But there is no rush as I don`t think he will be fully fit until the end of October.`

Vital Wolves Comment: While I feel like he has messed us around a little, if he is choosing Celtic over us for personal/family reasons, rather than just chasing the money then I strangely have a bit more respect for him.
