Captain Craddock

Wolves have announced that Jody Craddock is to take over as Captain following Paul Ince` unhappy exit from the club.

Jody, who has been Captain for Wolves pre season friendlies gets the appointment ahead of the likes of Jackie McNamara and Gary Breen, no small achievement in itself.

The role is just rewards for a player who never gives less than 100% and has the respect of his fellow pro`s.

Talking to the clubs official site after the announcement, a proud and very happy Jody said said :
'I was captain at both Cambridge and Sunderland on a few occasions but never for a long period.
'I'm a passionate player and I hope some of that rubs off - especially on the younger lads.
'It will be a very special day for me at Plymouth on Saturday when I lead the team out, and hopefully we will get a good result.
'I know that we didn't play well there last season but now is the time to look forward and not back.
'The squad was a bit light at the start of pre-season and, with injuries, we were really lacking in numbers. But we've made some good signings and hopefully everything will gel together sooner rather than later.'

I would have gone for Nails ,this would of gave him something to concentrate on and responsibility instead of going on dead end runs leading to nothing and the team short at the back and no Joel to cover for him
