Craddock may retire at the end of the season

Jody Craddock has hinted that this season could be his last.

The 36-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current season and will turn 37 before the beginning of the 2012/13 season kicks off.

The defender would like to go into his tenth season at Molineux, however if he isn't offered a new deal, he is likely to retire as he believes he is now to old to begin a new challenge.

"I will be at Wolves or I won`t play any more. If I had left Wolves earlier I`d have been looking to move down the divisions to carry on playing.' Craddock told the Express & Star.

He concluded: "It was never a problem for me because I`ve been there before but, at the age I am now, I don`t think that would be the case anymore."

Vital Wolves Comment: Throwing sentiment out of the window, would you offer Craddock another year at Molineux or do you think it's time for him to hang up his boots?

I'd perhaps considering giving a coaching role and keeping him registered with us just in case we need him, but the likelihood is we need someone with a bit more quality in our 25 going forward. All depends on if we go down or not..................................

Akela i agree a coaching role would be good, but having listened to interviews with him, he has stated that when he does retire that is it!! I can't see him getting a contract at the end of the season no matter what happens!!
