Wolves to make Stoke swoop

Wolves to make Stoke swoop

Could Mick McCarthy be planning to make a swoop on Stoke in the January transfer market?

Our friends over on Vital Ipswich have followed up on a report they made in November that Wolves were tracking on-loan Stoke City defender Danny Collins and have now reported that Mick McCarthy will take Collins from Stoke in January on a permanent deal.

Danny Collins has starred during a three month stint with Ipswich and that has apparently convinced our Mick to make a second move for the Wales international after signing him seven-years-ago for Sunderland.

The 31-year-old has made 15 appearances in the Championship this season after falling out of favour at Stoke.

Stoke paid £2,750,000 for Collins 2 years ago, when he made the move from Sunderland.

Why the hell do we want Danny Collins for heavens sake he is worse than what we have we need PL players not has beens now plying thier trade in the championship. Cuellar of AV or Onounha of MC could both do the job better than Berra a penalty or sending off or both waiting to happen 3-4 mill will get one or other please someone asure me this will be the case if not and we do buy Mr Collins then for sure Mr Fletcher will be LEAVING simple reason lack of ambition on WW behalf we need proven PL players to be brought in in JAN not average championship players with there best days behind them.

I think the fact that this item went without comment for so long could well sum up how underwhelmed your fellow fans feel about him, kia.I think you summed things up nicely.
