Wolves in four-way battle for Bayern Munich star

Bayern Munich star Danijel Pranjić has been out-of-favour with the German side recently, alerting ourselves Newcastle, Everton and Sunderland to his possible availability.

Danijel Pranjić for those who do not know, is a 30-year-old Croatian International who has played for Dinamo Zagreb, Heerenveen and Bayern Munich.

He has over 40 caps for his country with the versatility to play at left back or in midfield.

He has only made two appearances in the Bundesliga this season and could be available in January.

Yesterday it was revealed that Mick McCarthy has around £4.5million to spend before the expected sales of Andy Keogh and Leigh Griffiths which could boost the kitty further.

Keogh is out of contract in the summer and we paid £100,000 for Griffiths so dont think the 4.5 million will get much of a hike!.

Are we going to sell Vokes? His market value has gone up recently but, by the same token, his value to us has risen.

Since when do wolves ever win a 4 way battle for a player? Serb and a Croat in the same team.....that would be interesting. Problem is....we get linked with all these players then Championship teams pip us to the post. What does that say about how well JM sells the Club to these players.
Rustmonkey
The number of players we have been linked with goes up by the hour and some of them would be great additions were they ever to materialise. It's only indirectly JM's fault that we fail to attract good players to Molineux when competing with other clubs. He only holds the purse strings, albeit very tightly. As a result, insufficient funds prevent us from assembling a PL quality squad and coaching team. Were we not languishing near the foot of the table, we might have better luck. Clearly the thought of clocking on in a plush Championship league stadium is an insufficient inducement to top-class players. Another question is whether we make best use of the players we do possess.

Use of players is an issue...............for tonight I'd drop Doyle. Have a 5 man Midfield including Jarvo, Henry, Hunt, Ade and Hammill. Put Ade in the hole and give him a free role. A/ Ade can run around like a headless chicken and b/ He's not shot shy unlike Doyle. We need to get right in Norwich's face from the whistle and assuming we can grab a goal.....not try to sit on a 1 goal lead. And please please please..............leave Jarvo on the left.
Rustmonkey
PS: Jarvo and Hunt would be the wingers......I'd like to see Hammill in a more attacking Midfield role with Ade.
Rustmonkey
Your formation has its merits, Rustmonkey but would you consider Hunt and Hammill changing places? Hammill is a true winger and lacks the necessary bite for a more midfield role. Hunt, on the hand, would be less easy to brush aside and would add an extra body in the middle of the park whenever Adlene dashed off upfield.

Either works for me but we both know......It ain't gonna happen. MM will stick with Keogh, oopps...Doyle
Rustmonkey
JOH maybe out for a while!,hernia problem. In Mick we Rust!.

That would be funny, if it weren't true, Crete Wolf.
