'If It's Football, It's Vital'

First half performance hopeless slams McCarthy

As Vital Wolves very own southbank put it, Wolves ended 2011 with yet another typical 'game of two halves'.

Thankfully we were only one down at the break which enabled us to get back into the game and grab a point.

McCarthy didn't shy away from making an early change and at half time he took off Elokobi for Edwards.

That decision had an almost instant impact as Wolves were level within four minutes of the second half.

McCarthy wasn't shy in his assessment on the first half in his post match comments either: 'We were hopeless in first half. The result at half-time was divided by a fingertip or the width of the crossbar, they had a wonderful strike that went in and we had one from Stephen Ward that didn't.' our Mick told the BBC.

He continued: 'In the second half we changed it and Dave Edwards had a great half. We deserved a point and it was probably a fair result and we could have nicked it with a couple of chances.'
