'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McCarthy pleased with Frimpong

When you're a 19-year-old going out on loan from Arsenal, there cannot be many harder debuts than Chelsea.

But that is what Emmanuel Frimpong had on his debut for Wolves yesterday.

It must have been a whirlwind few days, joining the club on new years day and then making your debut a day later, but he did well, played an hour and impressed his manager.

'I was pleased with him, Like the rest of us we found it difficult to start with and he grew into it and handled the ball well and made a couple of good challenges.' our Mick told Wolves Official Website.

He continued: 'He's 19 and coming into a tough environment to play and a big game to come into and I thought he handled it well.

'I think he was just tired which was understandable making his debut against such a good team.

'He's going to be really good for us.'

I think Frimpong will do a good job for us once he has settled in. Ya gotta love Wengers reaction today to the Fulham players who were apparently trying to get an Arsenal player sent off. Funny that because I seem to remember Arteta & Van Persies reaction to Milijas' challenge. F#%$ ing hypocrite.

Lets face it,the way the Wolves midfield has been performing lately I think anything and anyone will would have been a improvement. It shows how desperate we were that he played him straight away on his fist day here,I would now be happy with another good holding midfielder as I think the defence would improve with the extra quality there to protect them more.
