Reserves hit for seven

Wolves reserves were heavily beaten by Aston Villa yesterday afternoon.

Wolves named a youthful development team for the fixture and took the lead straight from the kick-off with a goal from Cassidy.

However all that did was anger an Aston Villa side which included Delfouneso, who was one of three Villa goalscorers inside the opening 40 minutes.

What made it worse for Wolves was just prior to the third goal going in, Price handled a Delfouneso shot on the line and was shown the red card.

The second half was a dominant display Weimann scoring a hat-trick to complete the scoring with just four minutes left.
