Vokes off to Brighton

Sam Vokes is off on his travels again, leaving Molineux for the sixth time on loan.

This time after recently spending two months with Championship side Burnley he has returned to the south coast with fellow Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Vokes was down at Brighton over the weekend and must have been impressed as they knocked Newcastle out of the FA Cup.

The loan move will see the 22-year-old play his football at Brighton's new AMEX stadium until the end of the season and after not playing in the FA Cup for either ourselves or Burnley could face Liverpool at Anfield in the next round.

Hopefully the move will be good for the young Welsh striker who desperately needs regular games for his own development after having a stuttering career at Wolves since joining from Bournemouth in 2008.

Vital Wolves Comment: Good move for Vokes? Is it now make or break for him as far as Wolves are concerned? Personally I feel he really needs to show he can make the step-up from the Championship soon.

Good luck to him. He ain't gonna get a chance with us so may aswell go get a game with a team that wants him. Poyet may get the best out of him then one day he can come back and haunt us.

... or, he may come back and score goals for us, Rustmonkey. As I have observed before, the Norway match made me see SV in a new light. But, he does need regular match-time to hone his skills and Brighton might be the place to do it. Looking forward to the game tomorrow evening, especially if Frimpong is playing. I have heard nothing in the press: is he fit again?
Southbank60
yes

Rustmonkey: Yes to my SV statement or Yes to my Frimpong enquiry ... or Yes Yes to both of them?
Southbank60
Yes to Frimpong....he'll play. On is own at the rate we are apparently shipping players out. The bench will look interesting tommoz at this rate, lol

SOme day, Vokes will come good, but he needs the games, hope he starts at Brighton, anyone hear anything about Keogh?
seanlyncha7x
Well, Rusty, I shall sleep a little easier this evening secure in the knowledge that we have at least one midfielder, whom we can depend upon. And JOH is playing in the reserve match this evening. Do I see the cavalry on the horizon?
Southbank60
JOH managed 45 mins and reported no ill effects. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on the bench tomorrow.
