Would McCarthy sell Doyle?

Mick McCarthy may have to consider an offer from Everton for striker Kevin Doyle ahead of the transfer deadline if reports are correct.

Sky Sports have reported that Everton gaffer David Moyes could target Doyle before the transfer deadline window slams shut tomorrow.

Moyes has been a long standing admirer of Doyle for a long time, but missed out on him when we first signed him from Reading, while we have rebuffed any approaches since then, most notably last year when he was heavily linked with another move for him.

This season the former record transfer has been a bit hit and miss and has been forced to play second fiddle behind Steven Fletcher.

He has made just one start in our last six games, with the 28-year-old scoring just twice all season.

Vital Wolves Comment: It's a tough one, if we can sell him and use the money for another striker of higher quality then obviously it has to be considered, but if we cannot replace him, then what's the point?

Rust, we're not gonna sign anyone else this transfer window, Mick's FAILED, and I'm officially on the Mick OUT bandwagon.....

Well, all this talk of expulsions might indicate that perhaps we are trying to bring in cash in preparation for a marquee signing. How's that for a sky-high piece of optimism from a confirmed pessimist, though the tenor of this sentence suggests that I am being cynical.

he he Southbank, i admire your blind optimism. I'm going to try my best to watch the remaining games this season, but i'm also preparing myself for life back in the championship. I remember it was only on the last day, half time at home to Rovers that I actually felt like we were gonna get relegated... Even Pundits around the country had been upbeat about our chances in 10/11... I havent seen much optimism about staying up this time round, from them, and most Wolves fans.
