Kightly out of Black Country derby

Michael Kightly has been ruled out of Sunday`s Black Country derby.

The 25-year-old missed the weekends 2-1 win over QPR with a back injury and has recently been receiving treatment from the club's medical staff.

Thankfully it is nothing serious and he will return to action soon, but the West Brom game will come a little bit too quickly.

"Kightly had just been struggling with a back problem and missed the QPR game," said boss Mick McCarthy to the Express & Star.

He continued: "He`s resting at the moment but the aim is to have him training again and hopefully available for the game with Newcastle."

Vital Wolves Comment: With Kites and Frimpong out injured and Karl Henry suspended the Wolves squad are currently dropping like flies. Do we have the squad capable of covering any more walking wounded?

I'd go with the team that finished at the weekend but put Henry in Frimpongs position. Doyler played the right wing well and altogether it made us a very attacking formation.

I think Karl's still suspended. Surely this is a game for Hunty. UTW!!

I agree with your line-up, SL7x. With SB junior at the back, we will not suffer the same mauling, as happened at The Hawthorns. Doyle has to play, given his performance against QPR but he was playing in a 3-3-4 formation. Will he be as effective in a 4-4-2 system? I still mourn the loss of Frimpong. Perhaps he will reappear in a WW shirt next season as part of his rehabilitation.

Berra in for RJ would pbe a better option...
