Curbishley open to Wolves talks

One of the early favourites for the Wolves job has admitted that he would be open to holding talks with the club.

Alan Curbishley and Steve Bruce appear to be the two front runners for the job according to the bookies.

Both are currently not in employment, with Bruce recently being sacked as manager of Sunderland, while Curbishley has been out of work since leaving West Ham in 2008.

Curbishley of course had previously done a great job with Charlton, before the fans turned, believing they were capable of pushing further forward than just Premier League survivors, they now find themselves in the third tier of English football, while Curbishley has tried to re-start his career in the Premier League.

'I have been favourite for things before and nothing really has happened,' Curbishley told Sky Sports News.

He added: 'We will just have to wait and it depends where the people in charge want to go and what they want. We will just have to see.'

'If I get a phone call I will talk to them, as I have always said I wanted to go back to the Premier League.'

so his greatest achievement is keeping Charlton in the PL by the skin of their teeth each season, forgive me but havent we just got rid of him?
gregory house
Yes gregory house and look what happened to Charlton after they got rid of their Mick McCarthy?
Akela
Yes but come on, they replaced him with Ian Dowie and the like, what did you expect would happen. If he stayed in charge it was same old same old, like I said we have just got rid of that
gregory house
IF HE STAYED THEY WOULD HAVE HAD THE SAME OLD SAME OLD IN THE PREMIERSHIP, insted they have Division 1 footy!!!! Let us hope the boo boys havent sent us down the same path.

Good to see you back BBW, you got the discussion point I was trying to make. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener.

Thanks for everything Mick, but remember they were all your signings on that pitch on Sunday. Moving on.Alan Curbishley for me.He's got a proven track record in Premiership with two less glamorous teams, and he's not Bruce or Warnock!
