'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Players at fault for poor performances says O'Hara

Earlier this week Wolves skipper Roger Johnson told the media the players had let former gaffer Mick McCarthy down.

Johnson felt that at most our Mick was limited to just 5-10% of the blame, with the players shouldering the majority of responsibility for Wolves current plight.

His honest appraisal wasn't exactly greeted well on the Vital Wolves comments with both AdMant and Rustmonkey being very critical.

'RIGHT, so the biggest most expensive flop ever in a Wolves top is gobbing off again...' Admant wrote, 'this time, highlighting the fact that the players were to blame. Wow, talk about lumping everyone in with your own incompetence... I think Jarvis, Fletcher, Hammil, Doyle, OHara Ward, and of course the Mighty Mighty Wayne Hennessey have all had pretty impressive seasons... the problem, if it is 90% players' fault lies with the following Roger Johnson, Richard Stearman, Karl Henry, Nenad Milijas, Elokobi, Zubar and Hunt... Sell those 8 and get us Frimpongs left leg... would be a vast improvement...'

Rustmonkey agreed adding: I laughed when I heard RJ's , sadly lacking in sincerity, waffle. He must have cost us at least 10 points this season on his own......*****er.'

But while those two contributors didn't agree with his comments, team-mate Jamie O'Hara has backed his skippers remarks.

'It was difficult to see the gaffer leave and the lads were gutted to see him go,' he said to Wolves Official Website.

He added: 'It's been us who have been putting in the bad performances.

'He'd done a lot of the club.

'I've only been here a short time but I loved working for him and think he is a fantastic manager.

'I just hope everyone remembers what he achieved at the club.
