Curbishley turns down Wolves?

If you believe everything that appears in the press you would be forgiven for thinking that Wolves hunt for a new manager has turned into a farce.

Ever since the sacking of Mick McCarthy, three men have been the odds on favourites for the role.

They were Alan Curbishley, Steve Bruce and Neil Warnock, but depending what paper you read and what you believe, all three may well have given Steve Morgan and Jez Moxey the cold shoulder over the weekend.

Neil Warnock is definitely out of the running after taking the Leeds United job.

Steve Bruce according to some newspapers over the weekend turned down the job on a short term basis, although some reports suggest that is in fact incorrect.

While ESPN have also reported that Alan Curbishley has done the same.

They believe he was offered the position over the weekend, but turned it down because he is only willing to accept a longer term deal.

Vital Wolves Comment: It's unlikely that both were offered the role over the weekend, so its all down to speculation. What we do know is second interviews are scheduled to take place this week and perhaps the idea of a short term contract has been discussed with the candidates?

gotta hope its all spitballing oin the part of the media, cos if we fired our manager without securing (or as close as) a decent replacment then what the ******* are those clowns earning 6 figures for ? If we didnt look like muppets after the **lbion game, we certainly are starting to now...

Looking at how this is all panning out, I actually now believe that MM was working under a pair of muppets. It makes you wonder how he managed to stay quiet for so long. I suspect that the truth will come out one day and maybe MM will be vindicated. It's all getting embarrassing now. The only thing I don't want is for everyone to get on Bruce's back if he gets the job. I don't want him but if he comes, he comes. We need to support him in his battle. In a weird way I admire him for at least having the bottle to jump onto a sinking ship and try and save it. Formthatbhe should be applauded.
