Curbishley pulls out of running

Alan Curbishley has now pulled out of the running to become Wolves manager according to reports this afternoon.

Curbishley had been installed as the early favourite to take over at Molineux following the sacking of Mick McCarthy.

But over the weekend Jez Moxey and Steve Morgan's interest in Curbishley began to cool when it was reported that Curbishley was not interested in the short term vision the board hold for the club.

The only thing that matters to the club right now is its Premier League existence and a number of reports suggest that we could be looking at offering the new gaffer a 13 game stint to prove himself.

Stay in the Premier League and you're likely to keep your job for longer, lose our top flight status and pack your bags.

Its a stipulation that various papers have suggested has been turned down by both Curbishley and the other front runner Steve Bruce, although there are conflicting reports regarding Bruce.

But the BBC now believe that Curbishley has officially pulled out of the running "because he and chairman Steve Morgan did not share the same vision for the club".

Vital Wolves Comment: A little update on the Roy Keane situation, he is now as short as 9/2 with SkyBet and now looks a definite contender.

Bruce out... Bruce in... Now Curbishley out of the running- allegedly for exactly the same reason Bruce was out. Who knows what to believe. It looks like its all guess work. I'm just going to wait for the white smoke. Looking likely that whoever we end up with will divide the fans less than McCarthy... we will all be against them!

If the press is to be believed.. it's looking increasingly bleak for us.
