McCarthy departs Molinuex for final time

Mick McCarthy has left Molineux for the final time.

Our former gaffer who led the club to the promised land of the Premier League and kept us there for two full seasons, returned to the club this week after a holiday in Florida.

According to the Express & Star, McCarthy returned to the club to complete the legal papers on his departure from the club.

He signed confidentiality papers and has agreed an estimated £1million settlement.

After the official stuff was completed the 53-year-old had lunch his ex-assistant and now permanent Wolves boss Terry Connor and all the staff.

Vital Wolves Comment: Good luck in the future Mick, I'm sure it will not be long until you are back in work.

I just commented on this on the Moxey thread. Must have been when you were posting this, Akela. So, the 'confidentiality papers' are signed, so bang goes any chance of finding out what went on.No surprises there then.

Winstonsmith84 -The confidentiality clause is the same at all clubs -not just Wolves, so stop stirring the crap up, we need an experienced manager to get us out of this mess..............THAT MANAGER IS.............MICK McCARTHY! but the idiots who call themselves fans can't see it.

Oh, here he is: Mr Angry. Which bit of 'no surprises there then' don't you understand numbnut? I write no surprises and you feel the need to tell me it's the same at every club? What a tool!

If people had taken your attitude in the '80's Johnwolf, the Molineux would have been bulldozed and two brothers would have made themselves a whole lot wealthier. Just as well there were plenty of people that cared about their club enough to question and , when necessary, critcise what was going on. If it had been left to the reactionaries like you, we'd have been long gone.Johnwolf: "A man walking backwards with his face to the future".

Good point, WS84, but rational thought isn't johnwolf's strongest suit.

If you think MM is the answer JW then YOU, I repeat.....YOU are also part of the problem. I liked MM but the time had come. Sadly like most unblinkered Wolves fans, we knew it had come months earlier. Blame the club, not the fans for the shambles that followed. With the exception of the JoH incident and the silly banners the fans have done what any fans would have done in our position. The fact is that the fans were probably more tolerant than most would have been. A lot of fans get on clubs back if they lose 4 or 5 in a row. We lost time and time again but held our tongues. It was inevitable that at some point our fans would crack. JW....you are part of the problem. You are an OSTRICH. The only difference is that rather than stuck in the sand.....your head seems to be stuck up your arse. I open the floor up to you for reply!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have reached the conclusion that maybe John wears blue and white stripes because I can't fathom why anyone else would or could talk so much shat which is always in complete contrast to anything any reasonable Wolves fan says or thinks. Living in New York I can't afford a (plane) ticket to make the big game today John but I will be watching it all the same. When the third goal goes in I will carry on painting the dining room and switch to commentary mode. Not looking forward to Sunday is something of an understatement.

Then again, think we have got it bad? How about poor Swansea- those Welsh minnows. They had to settle for a 3-0 win yesterday poor sods. Three wins on the bounce, their struggle goes on.
