Future for Wolves? Steven Fletcher

With Jez Moxey stating previously that Wolves wouldn`t be 'forced` into selling any of their star players I thought I`d have a punt on who`s likely to be leaving Molineux this summer.

Keep in mind none of us really know the politics and finances of what`s going on inside of Molineux at the moment but let us know whether you agree or disagree in the comments below.

Steven Fletcher

There were one or two eyebrows raised when Wolves shelled out around 7 million for the ex Burnley man in summer of 2010 but two seasons later and 20 Premier League goals under his belt Fletcher has justified his price tag.

Under contract till at least 2014 Fletcher is likely to be one of the clubs top earners, and with Sunderland reportedly ready to at least match the price Wolves paid for him two years ago the players` days at Molineux seem to be numbered.

The 25-years-old is rumoured to be a part of Britain`s Olympic Squad this summer, which is potentially another platform for the striker to sell himself.

With the club already having a proven Championship goal scorer in Ebanks-Blake would you be happy with 7 million for Fletch or should the club be holding out for a bit more?

Very little chance in keeping him, for financial reasons and for the simple fact that a few clubs in the Premier League will offer him a way out of Molineux. We have to recoup at least the 7million we spent on him though, ideally make a profit on him too.

This one in particular is gonna prove the acid test for Wolves ambition. If we can keep him happy for one season he will be the difference between opening the the key to the premier league or not. Sadly I think he will go but I hope he doesn't.

I've never been given the impression that he gives two flying f***s for The Wolves and expect him to go. If he stayed he'd probably get a load of goals in The Championship, which is why I want him to stay. A PL class striker though? I'm far from convinced.

A few games ago, I advised the board to offer him what he wanted in order to convince him to stay. Now, I am not so sure. His heart is clearly not in the club and we should do well in a bidding war for his services. With the money we can start to rectify our problems in defence ... even offer the money we receive from Fletcher to a club who will take RJ off our hands!
