Future for Wolves? Matthew Jarvis

Future for Wolves? Matthew Jarvis

With Jez Moxey stating previously that Wolves wouldn`t be 'forced` into selling any of their star players I thought I`d have a punt on who`s likely to be leaving Molineux this summer.

Keep in mind none of us really know the politics and finances of what`s going on inside of Molineux at the moment but let us know whether you agree or disagree in the comments below.

Matthew Jarvis

Wolves current Supporters' and Players' Player of the Year is likely to fill up many transfer gossip columns this summer.

He is one of the few of the Wolves crop that came up from the Championship to have found his feet at Premier League level and could arguably be a strong addition to many sides outside the top five.

Tony Pulis is reportedly a keen admirer and see`s the explosive winger as an ideal replacement for the ageing Matthew Etherington and is planning a bid of around £6 million.

Jarvis was recently asked in an interview with Bleacher Report if Wolves were to go down, whether he would go with them.

'All I can say is I'll be doing my best for Wolves to make sure that doesn't happen,'

In other words, no. That said, the speedy 25-year-olds efforts cannot be faulted over recent weeks, or for the time he has been at the club, for which he has been a joy to watch and wolves main, and at times, only attacking outlet.

So how much is Jarvis worth? And where would you like to see the England International apply his trade at next?

If someone like Stewart Downing is worth £20 million then is Jarvis really £14 million worse? I`d hope for at least £7 million for a player going into his best years and considering he has three years remaining on his current contract.

If he was to leave I can't see us getting the kind of money you suggest in the article, he simply isn't fashionable enough to demand that kind of fee.

His crossing was more miss than hit over the season. As i've said, I think MK offers more variation in attacking the box. In theory Stoke would be looking for him to supply heading chances for Crouch and their other giants. His crossing isn't reliable enough in practice though. I'd rather keep than lose him though, all the same... but £7million would help change my mind.

I'd sell him for £7m because I have always thought that he is not decisive enough when going for the corner nor are his crosses consistently accurate. I, too, think that Kightly has the greater potential, especially as he can turn inside and shoot.

A player we could afford to let go as long as we get the £6M he is worth.
