Would Holloway leave Blackpool?

According to reports in the Mirror and the Daily Mail, Wolves owner Steve Morgan has put Ian Holloway on the top of his wish list to be Wolves next manager.

But with Blackpool in the Championship play-offs would Holloway even consider leaving Blackpool at such a crucial time? If not, then where has the rumour come from?

Surely Morgan isn't arrogant enough to start naming whoever he likes without thought as to their availability? Otherwise we might as well put Pep Guardiola at the top of the list?

Holloway might consider it if he cannot guide Blackpool back into the Premier League at the first attempt, but even then he might prefer to stay at the club where he's had the most success.

Holloway appears to be a great man manager and a loyal one at that, he's learnt from his mistakes when he left Plymouth Argyle for Leicester City, a move he calls the biggest mistake of his life.

So there is little chance he has discussed the possibility of joining Wolves at this point, as he wouldn't appear to be that type of chap, which means there is little substance to this rumour at this stage.

I would be over the moon, but this is surely a non-story... i do however feel a little more at ease that tc rumours are subsiding...

He is quoted as once saying, "I have never had anything to do with Wolves, and never will" lol. He said this when he changed 10 players against Villa and the papers compared him to Mick. I dont want him...I really dislike the bloke. Still Curbs and Wilkins for me

It's in The Mail, it must be true!

Pep Guardiola would be a great capture, surely he'd jump at the chance of managing a club steeped in glorious tradition and heritage. C'mon Morgan make the call!!
BIG TASTY
interestingly the poll on vital forest has gedioura down as fans player of the season... thats some impression the he's made.... would love him to play for us !!

Papers story again - speculating! pays the mortgage I suppose - agree with gregory house, but who ever gets the job will get my 100% support, has for Guedioura like "all" the players out on loan he will be back at the Golden Palace next season for the new manager to assess them - unless it's TC, and if Hodgeson can manage England lol, lol, lol, then surely TC could get a chance - regardless of what us fans think the players see him on a daily basis and know what he is about, the only thing some of us see is results and not the bigger picture. We are Wolves....? wonder how many will bother to turn up on Sunday - I will, all the way from ...er that town up the road.

I'm sure he could get us promoted; he's done it before. But then, i'm sure Mick could get us promoted, too. The question mark over both of them is; then what? It's one job to recruit misfits and lower league players and get them to perform in The Championship, but then you're in the PL... with a team that needs upgrading. I reckon Holloway's name is less of a draw to better players than McCarthy's was. There seems to be a group of managers more than capable of getting teams promoted to the Premiership, who would find the step up one step too far. Moxey keeps spinning the 'future vision' he has. Holloway is no such thing. Just like Mick, he could get us up but would then need to either be replaced upon promotion or allowed to fail. If it turns out to be IH (and I doubt it will be) then I can't see how any progress will have been made since MM was sacked. I think the one thing we all hoped following relegation, was that at least we'd end up with a 'better' manager; not only to inspire us for a promotion push, but beyond, too. By my reckoning IH falls into the 'novice' bracket, regarding the PL; i'd much rather Steve Bruce. Unless JM's 'future' vision is now restricted to promotion, the appointment of Holloway would mean we'll have made as much progress off the pitch as we have on it.

Curbishley is odds-on fav to pitch up at The Hawthorns, bytheway.

I like IH but he's another MM. I think TC should be given a chance..........I'll drive him to the Albion myself or maybe JohnWolf can as he lives closer to Sandwell than he does Molineux. Curbs probably will go to WBA....if you had a choice between a top 10 team and Wolves, who would you pick. AM will stay at Villa regardless of how much the Villa fans whine. CH will stay at Birmingham if they go up. Our best bet is to stick to plan "Z"............ Go for a young hungry manager like Darren Ferguson, Lee Clarke with a DoF. Atleast with DF we'll get help from Man U in terms of loan signings. As for Sunday, I'm sure that all the regular fans will be there, myself included. Will I support the new manager 100%.......YES!!!!
Rustmonkey
Yes Winston thats why its now madness to wait till the end of the season! move now before the s**t get the pick..

I don't think he would come to us and that's good enough for me. I can see them going back up and even if they don't we have put ourselves in a position where the likes of IH are unlikely to leave Blackpool for us. I am hoping along the lines of Clarke or Poyet myself so maybe expect Dave Basset to finally get his shot at the Wolves job.
New York City Wolf
Dave Basset lol.....theres a lot of dead wood out there, plus cheap wood. George Graham, Ian dowie, Phil Brown. please god no!
