'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Naylor In Talks

Wolves left back Lee Naylor has travelled to Glasgowto discuss personal terms ahead of his proposed 600,000 transfer to Celtic.

The deal includes 20 year old Charlie Mulgrew joining Wolves on a free transfer.

The swap plus cash is subject to both passing medicals, and is expected to be confirmed later today.

In the current market, 600k for a domestic player in the last year of his contract, plus a replacement represents a tidy piece of business on the part of Wolves CEO Jez Moxey, who had this to say to the clubs official site.

'Lee made it plainly clear he wouldn't sign the new four year contract we had previously agreed and insisted he wanted to join Celtic.

'Faced with that situation the Club reluctantly decided to agree to his request providing the financial terms were right for us and that we received Charlie Mulgrew on a free transfer as well.

'However, whilst we now have agreement with Celtic, nothing will be finalised until both players involved have agreed personal terms and passed medicals.'
