Spurs set for £20million raid on Wolves?

Spurs set for £20million raid on Wolves?

Could Tottenham make a £20million raid on Wolves over the summer?

According to the Daily Express Harry Redknapp has both Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis on his shopping list.

The newspaper believes both are rated at £10million, although while Fletcher is likely to go for around that figure, Jarvis has been linked with moves around the £4million mark, so that it is quite a substantial jump, although with half the Premier League reportedly interested in him, if a bidding war breaks out, who knows what the eventual fee might be?

But there are an awful lot of ifs, buts and maybes attached to this story, even for a summer silly season rumour article!

Redknapp's interests in Fletcher are limited, his first choice target is Manchester City`s Emmanuel Adebayor who has been on loan with Spurs and has already settled in at White Hart Lane.

If that move cannot be completed then Newcastle United`s Demba Ba is his second choice, but Newcastle are likely to complete his permanent signing, at this point Redknapp's attentions would turn to Fletcher.

£20M??? More like £5M. Don't get me wrong they are both good players but not of the calibre that Spurs need. No offence intended and i wish you all the best for the up and coming season.

I think it's quite possibly papertalk. I don't see either of them improving the Spurs team, allthough i do think very highly of the pair. I'd value them at around 6 mil each but i don't think they're going anywhere this season. Arsenal haven't qualified for the Champions league yet by the way. They have a qualifier to play.. so don't be a douche.

£20 million, are we buying the whole squad then? Wolves haven't got a player worth more than £5 million.

Admant - you forgot Chelsea! the two are to BIG for spurs, why do Vital Wolves keep printing this crap - it was only yesterday that Jez said that there had been nobody in for them and it's just that speculation, we will know one way or another when and if the deal is done or they are in the line up for our first match.

Because football chief execs always tell the full truth johnwolf? The article clearly states its a transfer rumour from the silly season so what's the problem??? If we only reported on facts there would be very little to read about and discuss during the summer.

As for the lovely Spurs fans slagging us off, I would realistic value Steven Fletcher at about £8million and Matt Jarvis at £5million and that's following relegation if we had stayed up and people wanted them then they would be worth more.

Akela - Did i not say i valued them both around 6mil each and apparently i'm slagging you off?

Wolves are also not in the Champions League or the Uefa for that matter so you don't really have much of a foot to stand on. I actually believe it's been a wake up call to Daniel Levy. Time to spend some of that cash he has been holding back on improving the team.
