Spurs set for 20million raid on Wolves?

Could Tottenham make a 20million raid on Wolves over the summer?

According to the Daily Express Harry Redknapp has both Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis on his shopping list.

The newspaper believes both are rated at 10million, although while Fletcher is likely to go for around that figure, Jarvis has been linked with moves around the 4million mark, so that it is quite a substantial jump, although with half the Premier League reportedly interested in him, if a bidding war breaks out, who knows what the eventual fee might be?

But there are an awful lot of ifs, buts and maybes attached to this story, even for a summer silly season rumour article!

Redknapp's interests in Fletcher are limited, his first choice target is Manchester City`s Emmanuel Adebayor who has been on loan with Spurs and has already settled in at White Hart Lane.

If that move cannot be completed then Newcastle United`s Demba Ba is his second choice, but Newcastle are likely to complete his permanent signing, at this point Redknapp's attentions would turn to Fletcher.

20M??? More like 5M. Don't get me wrong they are both good players but not of the calibre that Spurs need. No offence intended and i wish you all the best for the up and coming season.

5m for BOTH, and no offence intended ? Enjoy watching arsenal in the Champions League next season joker.

I think it's quite possibly papertalk. I don't see either of them improving the Spurs team, allthough i do think very highly of the pair. I'd value them at around 6 mil each but i don't think they're going anywhere this season. Arsenal haven't qualified for the Champions league yet by the way. They have a qualifier to play.. so don't be a douche.
RyanHotSpur
20 million, are we buying the whole squad then? Wolves haven't got a player worth more than 5 million.
Med1
Admant - you forgot Chelsea! the two are to BIG for spurs, why do Vital Wolves keep printing this crap - it was only yesterday that Jez said that there had been nobody in for them and it's just that speculation, we will know one way or another when and if the deal is done or they are in the line up for our first match.
johnwolf
Med1 you are a MORON! second word is OF! ryanhotspur - but CHELSEA have ouch!
johnwolf
Because football chief execs always tell the full truth johnwolf? The article clearly states its a transfer rumour from the silly season so what's the problem??? If we only reported on facts there would be very little to read about and discuss during the summer.

As for the lovely Spurs fans slagging us off, I would realistic value Steven Fletcher at about 8million and Matt Jarvis at 5million and that's following relegation if we had stayed up and people wanted them then they would be worth more.
Akela
Akela - Did i not say i valued them both around 6mil each and apparently i'm slagging you off?

Wolves are also not in the Champions League or the Uefa for that matter so you don't really have much of a foot to stand on. I actually believe it's been a wake up call to Daniel Levy. Time to spend some of that cash he has been holding back on improving the team.
RyanHotSpur
woolwich wanderers & chelski too big for us? lmfao, up the baggies!!! no black country derby for you boys next season..............COYS; FOHR!
jabbatheyid
RyanHotSpur - You are not the only Spurs fan on this article!
Akela
ryan if i'm not mistaken it was you and your deluded ilk that have taken the time to come on over to a WOLVES blog to gloat about how good YOUR side apparently is... now we may have no leg to stand on, our massive 6mil outlay for the season was indeed an abomination, but your club choking on it, AGAIN, and to the GOONERS must smart like a mother*** ... We do have something in common though, we will both be hoping to hold on to our star players in the close...

Utter Tripe we have biiger fish to fry than buy PLAYERS FROM A TEAM THAT GOT RELEGATED FOR 20 million do you honestly believe this!!!!!!!!!!! 10 million for both We are TALKING ABOUT DANIEL LEVY The best businessmen and negotiator in the game So sorry but it ain;t gonna happen We are gonna go for bigger player such as Luuk De Jong, Adebayor, Remy, Ventongen etc you can keep your tripe thank you very much

I know this is paper talk so I won't bother getting involved in the row brewing. Don't like to see any fall out as Spurs fans were among the few who would stop by with an honest applause after some of the great games between us (discounting last season.) For the record Fletcher is worth ten million and Jarvis about seven in my book.

AdMant - When we see some ridiculous Article mentioning Spurs, ofcourse we are going to take a look. If my fellow fans want to call you deluded for thinking we're about to spend millions on your best players that are probably average PL players at best then i can't really blame them.

We probably spent as little as you this year and (i will gloat) finished in the top four. I don't think anyone came in here with the intention of insulting yourself of your club but to simply state that they think the article is a little far fetched. I still can't believe a fan of a club that just got relegated tried to pass judgement on the champions league seeds lol
RyanHotSpur
I also have a lot of time for Spurs fans and in general they have always wished us well, especially when playing Arsenal. I enjoyed my visit to WHL this season with its pleasing outcome. Although the Spurs fans must have been disappointed with the draw, those who blogged on this site did so to congratulate us. I tend to agree with NYCW's assessment of the value of Jarvis and Fletcher. It doesn't follow that because they play in a team that was relegated that they are not worth very much money. If only we had a half-decent back four, we would have finished half way up the table at least.
Southbank60
Alright, so you would have me sit back whilst a number of your comrades make disparaging comments about our club, fans and players? Im sure you would really appreciate me coming over to your blog and doing the same ? And since when does a club's league position dictate the integrity of it's fans ? NYC's observation that we've generally had pretty good banter with Spurs fans is correct, however the deluded individuals who've visited on this occasion though should rather spend their time praying Modric, Bale and co, don't leave for a bigger club.
