'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It can be lonely says Hennessey

At the end of last season Wayne Hennessey was one of the first to be linked with a move away from Wolves.

The shotstopper appeared to be a popular boy with Fulham and a number of other clubs all linked with him once our relegation from the Premier League was all but confirmed.

But a cruciate knee injury ended the Welsh Keepers season early and with it, went any chance of a quick move away from Molinuex.

He isn't expected to be back playing until a couple of months into the new season and that's only if the recovery over the summer goes according to plan, which thankfully it appears to be!

'On top of my programme with the physios I've been doing a lot of swimming which is brilliant as it really gets the heart going,' Hennessey told Wolves Official Website.

The long slog back to fitness can be a lonely one, especially during the summer when everyone else is away on holiday.

He continued: 'I've been doing a lot of work on my knee weights and getting the muscles firing around the knee so they don't lose too much strength.

'It can be lonely when you're coming in on your own in the summer but it's certainly peaceful!

'I want the best for my knee and that is to come in and follow the programme from the physios who are great to work with.

'You can have all their attention over the summer and they have given me a good schedule to follow.
