'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vokes remains open minded

Many may have assumed his Wolves career was finally over, but Sam Vokes is yet to give up on finally impressing at Molinuex.

The Wales international has never really made the break through at Wolves.

Still only 22-years-old he joined Wolves from Bournemouth four years ago, but has only made 4 league starts in that time.

Instead he has spent much of his time away on loan with Leeds United, Bristol City, Sheffield United, Norwich City, Burnley and Brighton.

He has been linked with a summer move to both Brighton and Burnley, but it would seem that Vokes could see him future at Wolves if of course he can impress new gaffer Ståle Solbakken.

"I enjoyed my time down at Brighton. I loved it there and played some games. I loved the area but we`ll see what happens at Wolves.' Vokes told The Argus.

He added: "I have got another year left on my contract and a new manager has been appointed.

"When I finished with Brighton he came in for a week and spoke to the lads. I`ll be there for pre-season and I am open minded at the moment."

If Fletch goes and we get outbid (always happens) for Sigurdson then we are going to be a little light on strikers. He is good enough for Championship football. Wonder where the +-£14 mil for Fletch and Jarvis will disappear to. Moxey Out !

Not sure I agree with you sentiment AD. You are condemning a man based on things that have yet to happen and things that may not even happen. We all know that JM is not a football man but he is very good at keeping the finances in check. Something that he is paid handsomely to do btw. The board have given him a job description and he is merely carrying it out. I still feel he should step into the shadows and make way for a DoF but that's not my call to make but I don't see how ripping the guy apart on the basis of a perceived future event helps. He'll probably go and prove me completely wrong now.....but that's life. ;)

Not sure he is good enough for the championship tbf. SEB is perfect but Vokes is no SEB.
