Nouble happy with Wolves move
Wolverhampton Wanderers completed the signing of 20-year-old striker Frank Nouble from West Ham United this morning on a two-year-deal.
The striker had recently been released by West Ham following their promotion to the Premier League and he looked more likely to join either League One side Coventry or Oxford in League Two until Ståle Solbakken made a move to make him his second signing of the summer.
Solbakken revealed that the Wolves scouts had been watching Nouble this season and believe that he has the potential to succeed at Molineux.
Whether they watched him while playing for West Ham, Gillingham or Barnsley last season is uncertain but Nouble is looking forward to the new challenge and settling at one club.
'When Wolves came along I was delighted and I'm more happy than surprised about the move, I don't know too much about Ståle but I'm looking forward to meeting him face to face. For every player, whenever there is a new manager it is a new challenge and I think that's something we are all looking forward to.'Wolves Official Website.
He added: 'I think all of my loan moves have been about me being eager to play and not wanting to rest on my laurels. Hopefully I can find a home here whereby I can work hard and with the players that we've got here I'm sure I can learn a lot.
'I don't know any of the senior players but I'm looking forward to making some new friends. I know that there's a lot of banter that flies about so I'm sure that I can settle in well.'
