'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Two set to depart Molineux?

Wolverhampton Wanderers have placed one midfielder on the transfer list and received a bid for another.

Fulham have reportedly increased their offer for Matt Jarvis.

Wolves have already rejected bids from West Ham and Fulham for fees of around the 4million figure, while it is believed that Moxey and Morgan are holding out for a fee nearer 10million.

The latest report by the Telegraph states that Fulham manager Martin Jol has put in a bid of around 4.5million, so hardly enough to start making Wolves hold emergency board meetings to discuss if they should accept or not.

If we are seriously holding out for a eight figure fee, 4.5million bids are just wasting everyone's time.

Jarvis is of course one of the players who most of us expect to leave, but if no-one is willing to match our asking price he should stay put. Are these just the early stages of negotiations or do teams not value him as highly as we do?

Meanwhile the transfer listed man is 24-year-old winger Adam Hammill.

Hammill joined Wolves for 500,000 from Barnsley in January 2011, but hasn't really pulled up any trees while he has been at Molineux with just 10 league starts and 23 total appearances in all competitions.

Ironically though, much like Sam Vokes, with Wolves now dropping into the Championship, this could be more his level and he could prove to be an option this season.

His availability is likely to interest Blackpool, who made the Championship play-offs last season.

Hammil and Gedioura will tear our back 4 new asses, this seems lunacy to me, and its fine to say "Stale is creating a more compact shape" whilst at the same time we show our MOST TALENTED players the door... We are holding out for the highest bidder, why, so that we can use the cash to find other gems ? WE ALREADY HAVE GEMS !!!! If you had told me 6 months ago that we'd be relegated, the stadium dev plans put on hold, and Jarvo, Fletch, kights and Hammil were all sold, and we were left with the RJ, Berra, Henry and Edwards dross I would have thrown myself in front of a bus. Wait, there's still time I hear you say...!
AdMant
Admant dont no why your so upset Guedioura has spent three seasons and to be honest has not really impressed at all.He is one of those who gets the ball puts his head down and runs untill he falls ove or shoots from impossible places. As for Hammil he went on loan to Middlesborough and was sent back because did not have a clue what he was doing. They had there chances and blew it i do agree we need to get rid of a few more i.e Bera, Stearman, Edwards Elikobi to name but a few.
kiawolves
Berra has made a transfer request!!! yippee!!
gregory house
I normally agree with you, AdMant, but I am happy with the sale of Guedioura and Hammill. With the signing of Droumbia we already have a better replacement and, if we acquire Traore, an even better result. I can even contemplate with equanimity the loss of Jarvis, as long as we hold on to Kightly. Naturally, I want Fletcher to stay. In CD, the sale of Berra, no great loss in itself, will prompt management to look for a replacement with greater urgency.
Southbank60
Hammill and Guedioura gems? Oh no they aren't. I totally agree with kiawolves assessment of them.I don't think we have to worry about' Blind- Alley- Hammill' and' Which- Way- Are- We- Kicking?-Guedioura' coming back to haunt us. As far as i'm aware they weren't ripping anybody anything new when they played in the Championship last season, and they were, in AH's case non-productive and in AG's case truly awful for us, so where the justification is for rating either of them, i've no idea. They seemed to have developed some mythical status for us last season based on the fact that they played less than others. But they were played and weren't any good, worse than the usual eleven. IF they'd have played regularly we'd have been relegated with them, rather than without them-that would have been the only difference. We wanted changes and changes is what we're getting. If and when SF and/or KD,MJ and MK leave then those will be changes imposed on SS. The players that have been cleared out, though, are decisions he's made and I support all of them so far.

P.S. I share the sentiment expressed by gregory house re Berra.According to the E&S, his agent has been trying for 'some time' to find him a new club. May I join with gregory and tens of thousands of others in wishing you all the best in your search!

One way to keep our stars (by my exclusive definition rather than the all-encompassing journo one) is to strengthen the squad, especially at the back. Apart from showing our determination to bounce back, it would make our true stars think very carefully before making a knee-jerk decision to jump ship. With SS at the helm and the arrival of one or two more quality players, I not only reckon that we will get promoted but will be well-placed to kick on from there in the PL.
Southbank60
With Berra's transfer request, it was a good thing Craddock was offered that contract. For my money, he is still the best pick of all that crap heap we call the defence - WH excluded, of course.

Southbank I hope we can get that Savic on a year long loan , I think Ward will be more than ok in the championship , dont get me wrong I would like a new left back and have Ward as more as a squad player as we all know he can play anywhere but there is more importance on getting a new centre half or two as what I watched of Danny Batth against Shrewsbury was worrying , veryu very slow at turning where as RJ looked sharp and the spit of the centre half we watched in the first few games last season , most said RJ was rubbish well you cant be as good and demanding as he was to that bad without a few reasons behind it , personally I think him and Mad Mick clashed personality wise and he expected an easy ride as Micks golden boy but Mick's a stubborn old git , but that era has passed and I think he will blossom under Stale , RJ also gets on very well with O'Hara Fletcher and Stearman and its no suprise Stearman and RJ have looked pretty decent all be it against Shrews !!! , its all up in the air at the moment , as Stale said August is going to be a very long month so we will have to wait and see who we bring in and more importantly ship out , personally I would like to see the back of Milijas/Edwards/Jonsson/Hunt/Hammill/Berra/Foley/Elokobi and bring in this Traroe , a new LB new CB , forwards is more than covered with or without Fletcher for me !
Will the Wanderer
And a lot of people going on about Hammill and Guedioura , I would have Anthony Forde over Hammill anyday and Zele Ismail is on the comeback too , and I think Doumbia showed more in 45 against Shrews than Adlene did all last season , I was thankfull for his games against Spurs and the Baggies but 2 goals out of 5000 attempts aint a good return hahaha !
Will the Wanderer
There have been niggling doubts in my mind about Batth, especially concerning his lack of mobility, but, as I have not seen him play yet, I can only go on reports of his performances at Sheffield Wednesday. I am also thinking about what you say about RJ, whom I have seen and await to be impressed. He certainly lacks pace and appears cumbersome but, given your appraisal, I am willing to suspend judgement for the time being. Even so, we do need a CD and a LB ... and Traore to accompany Doumbia in midfield. Your point about the respective merits of Doumbia and Guedioura is spot on. We make money by selling Jarvis, Edwards, Berra, Hammill, Stearman, Elokobi, Hunt, Jonsson &c. but under no circumstances do we part with Fletcher and Kightly. Of course, we might have to make it worth their while, perhaps investing in a Kightly knee-saver gizmo.
Southbank60
Hahaha @ kightly knee saver , It sounds silly but I only went to 10 games last season down to work commitments but I went to the first 5 games and I thought RJ was immense , I thought finally we have a demanding no nonsense centre half and all of a sudden he became worse than John De Wolf lol , I so hope he has a commanding season , you need leaders in the championship more so than the prem in my eyes , hardest league in the world ! , we dont need to sell Jarvis really do we , the main good thing Wolves have is 90% of the squad know how to get out of this league , I just hope we can be up there come christmas time and hope Stale is shrewd enough to know where to stregthen , personally I think a team of Hennessey Zubar Johnson Stearman Ward Kightly Doumbia Henry Jarvis Fletch n Doyle is very strong for the championship , we have Mouyokolo on the way back plus he wants a new centre half , you also have the likes of O'Hara Davis Forde Hunt to come in plus hopefully this Traore so midfield is more than covered , and obviously 5 very good strikers for the championship , Fletch would be scarily good in this league I think , I'd be dissapointed for him not to reach 30-35 !
Will the Wanderer
Oh and Hennessey once back from injury obviously lol
Will the Wanderer
We all know Ward can play anywhere? Oh no we don't 'all' know that. In fact i'm sure I 'know' he can't play left-back. Other than that, I haven't got a clue what he can do. His outings last season, other than at LB, were no more impressive than his defensive performances. If anybody epitomises Mick's band of merry tryers and shift-putter-inners, then it's Ward.I hope SS can make something of him but let's hope this idea that because he's left-footed he can be our first-choice in any position on the pitch is ditched once and for all.
winstonsmith84
Will The Wanderer that was the problem like ive said before three seasons in the PL and still 90'% of the championship squad. And that is the reason we got relegated and MM lost his job because he thought they were good enough and they were not. It took three years for Morgan and Moxey to realise that if he had been sacked before we might not be in this position.
kiawolves
Absolutely right, kiawolves.
Southbank60
Kightly for Stoke not exactly a big move is it,should stay with us as we have better chance of promotion than most if certain players stay like Jarvis and Fletch but if they leave I feel another team building coming on,which takes 2 to 3 yrs leaving us further behind hate to say it but looks like we are a selling club, we have no debts and do not have to sell so why sell your best, different if they want to go, good riddance and on a good note can you see Kightly going the whole season whose betting we will not get the add ons with his transfer, I just pray that the new regime knows what its up to and that the board spend the transfer money wisely but I will not hold my breath its my 42nd season and I have seen it all before, once the greatest team in the land and still are to me by the way is there anyone out there willing to share transport from burnham on sea somerset
davies09
I would, davies09, but it's a bit of a detour from Surrey!
Southbank60
Thanks Southbank 60 looks like I will have to make that journey on my own, its great to see someone else with the same commitment to the cause, since my last input Kights has turned Judas and gone to thet massive club Stoke and looks like Fletch and Jarvo wants a move but Stale has made some good signings so things can only get better, lets hope our board spends wisely and gets the personnel that Stale wants,as far as jarvo is concerned if he does go I would consider keeping Hammill maybe Stale can get the best out of him, Kightlys replacement seems to be this guy Peszco who can play both wings,so far Stale has impressed me lets hope it continues,at least he has a game plan and I hope our board have learned from last season as I thought MM should have been sacked after the Everton game away or earlier it was obvious he had lost his way and lost certain parts of the dressing room but we are in this position and it is up to us all, fans as well to make Molinuex a fortress as it used to be there will be downs and the team needs support especially then, can I make a plea to the Billy Wright and Steve Bull stands put your prawn sandwich down and make some noise for the lads it doesnt make you a yob but that sort of noise from all sides would make opposing teams quiver and not a pleasure that it usually is
