Peszko signs in at Wolves

While all the talk recently has been about who is leaving Molineux, Wolves boss Ståle Solbakken has gone and made another signing.

The latest addition to his team is 27-year-old Polish international midfielder Slavomir Peszko.

Peszko was at Compton on Monday, completing a medical and although the E&S have suggested that there had been a few snags to the deal involving his agent (or agents) the deal has now been finalised.

Peszko joins Wolves initially on a season-long loan from FC Cologne, but he could make the move permanent in 12 months time.

"Slawo is a player who can operate on both wings and had a very good first half to the season last year, setting up a lot of goals for Podolski.' Solbakken told Wolves Official Website.

While admitting that he didn't have the best second half of the season, missing out on a call-up to the Polish national team for Euro 2012, the gaffer believes that he can use that as motivation this season.

He added: "Like a lot of us, I also think he will be looking for revenge for last season, and he is ready for a new challenge.

"I am delighted that new challenge is going to be with Wolves."

Vital Wolves Comment: Will he prove to be a good replacement to Michael Kightly? Only time will tell.

Got to say from the videos I have seen of the lad he looks useful. Slawomir Peszko can play off either wing - two footed and bends a wicked free kick. Who knows could be a little gem - (ps Pessa please stay fit)!

Good luck Peszko and thank you for joining us, we have a habit of finding jems and it is about time we focused on those coming in than those going out, those going out have not one speck of loyalty so good riddance, our new guy Stale seems to know what hes on about so lets have faith in him and get behind the lads
