Matt Jarvis did not refuse to play for Wolves on Saturday as some rumours have suggested.
It was of course a logical conclusion to come to, especially in the cynical world of football, but apparently while Matt Jarvis's career is currently up in the air, he has not refused to play for Wolverhampton Wanderers again.
The midfielder has been linked with a number of moves over the summer, with heavy links with a possible move to West Ham United.
On Saturday it was made clear that he did want to leave Molineux and all of a sudden he was no longer part of the squad that faced Aldershot in the Capital One Cup first-round tie.
However according to the gaffer that was merely a coincidence.
"Matt was sick and it wasn`t the best day for that to happen with all the speculation, The doctor saw him and Matt was vomiting. That`s true and you can believe it or not. He was fine after training and was looking forward to the game.' Wolves boss Ståle Solbakken told the Express & Star.
He continued: "I read the team out after training and he was in it and there was no reaction then."
"He wants to leave - he`s said that. If it`s right for Wolves, for me and for him then we`ll see. But he`ll still play for us if he`s here."
Vital Wolves Comment: We are certainly driving a hard bargain for Matt Jarvis. There is absolutely no chance it would seem that we will be letting him leave on the cheap.
Friday's offer from West Ham was reportedly £6million plus £3million of add-ons and that was rejected, so we will have to assume that a bid of over £10million will be required to get him out of Molineux.
Your move West Ham.
