No deadline day drama at Molineux

Wolves usually complete their business early and avoid the drama of deadline day, but this season had been a bit different.

With new gaffer Ståle Solbakken coming in and making a number of changes it's been a busy time at Molineux.

We've seen the departures of Steven Fletcher, Matt Jarvis and Michael Kightly for very good money, while last night we also saw Adam Hammill join fellow Championship side Huddersfield on loan yesterday.

But with deadline day looming, there were no further departures, so anyone who is now still at the club and not in Solbakken's plans could have a long spell on the sidelines ahead of them.

After nine new signings since July there was also no new additions yesterday.

Solbakken has added Jamie Tank and Tim Jakobsson into the Development set-up, while also bringing in Georg Margreitter, Tongo Doumbia, Slawomir Peszko, Razak Boukari, Bakary Sako, Björn Sigurdarson and Frank Nouble into the first team set-up.

It's been quite clear that Solbakken has received the full backing of the Wolves board as he makes manoeuvres in the transfer market, but now its down to his work on the training pitch to get this new squad to gel and perform together.

That task continues at Cardiff tomorrow.

I'm pretty happy with our business this window. Some good new fresh faces and a few leaving but on the whole I think we did a good job. Still would have liked 1 more defender but that's just my opinion. Just need to give these new lads chance to settle in and we should be ok.

It's my opinion, too, Rustmonkey.

I agree Rustmonkey.....and time to adjust to SS's scheme of things. I read Doyle has committed, he never even expressed any wish to go elsewhere. Now I am not one who sees or ever saw him as our talisman, but I take the liberty to twist the pronunciation: that's our man.

Dont know about one defender, how about an entire back four!
